I'm Alec, a Calgary-born soccer player for the SAIT Trojans and a journalism student at SAIT.

I am a confident worker who is always open to learning new skills. One of my strongest abilities is communicating with others, whether they are new people I’m meeting or people I already know. I developed this through years of working retail at World of Soccer, a local soccer store in Calgary. I can also adapt to new situations.

I hold three positions at 1UP Soccer: director of school programs, creative and apparel lead, and lead writer. I have had to adapt to the challenges that come with each new role, as well as handle the workload from each position while continuing to succeed in my studies.

In my downtime, you can catch me in the gym training, playing and watching soccer. I classify myself as a true student of the game.
